  1. CITES is an international agreement between governments. Its goal is to make sure that international trade of wild plants and animals does not threaten their survival. Appendix 1 lists species that are the most endangered among CITES-listed animals and plants. They are threatened with extinction. Appendix 2 lists species that are not extinct yet but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled. Appendix 3 is a list of species included at the request of a Party that already regulates trade in the species. CITES relates to this baby gorilla article in the sense that the gorilla may not be necessarily considered "endangered", but, they may be on the list of animals that may be close to becoming an endangered species if trade of them is not regulated.

  2. CITES is an agreement between international governments to regulate the international trade of plants and wild animals. They do this to make sure that the cross border trading of these species do not affect their survival.

The three appendixes of CITES are: 1 lists species that are endangered and the most endangered among the CITES list. 2. lists species that are close to or threatened by extinction. 3. lists species that are included by request of a Party that regulates trade in the species.

Cites relates to the baby gorilla story because the baby gorilla was being illegally transported across boarders and it is endangered. This is precisely what CITES deals with- the endangered gorilla that is almost smuggled across boarders is a great example of what CITES tries to fight

  3. CITES is an agreement between different governments. There goal is to make sure that international trade of wild plants and animals doesn't endanger there survival. Appendix 1 states plant and animal species threatened with extinction. Appendix 2 includes species not yet threatened by extinction but need to be watched and trade needs to be controlled. Appendix 3 is a list of plant and animal species that protected in at least one country and has asked CITES for help in controlling trade. CITES relates to the baby gorilla article in that the gorilla isn't endangered yet but it most likely is on the list of animals that are almost endangered. If trade is regulated however the gorillas will stay off that list.

  4. CITES is an international agreement between governments. Their goal is to ensure that international trade does not affect wild specimens.

The three appendixes are as lists:1) Species threatened with extinction. The trade between species is only allowed with exceptions. 2) Includes species not threatened with extinction but are still under watch. 3)Contains species that are protected in at least one country and have asked CITE parties to oversee trade.

CITES and the baby gorilla story directly relate to one another in the fact that this is what CITES is trying to eliminate in the world, smuggling or trading of endangered species.

CITES is the agreement between international governments whose focus is to protect the survival of animals and plants against international trade.

The three appendixes of CITES of CITES are: 1. Animals and plants that are in danger of extinction 2. Animals and plants that are not endangered from extinction, but still need to be watched 3. includes animals and plants that are watched under request of another party.

CITES relates to the article about the baby gorilla because the gorillas are in extreme danger of extinction with less than a thousand gorillas left. A great amount of this is due to trade or poaching of these animals. It was for situations such as this that SITES was created

  6. CITES is an agreement between governments about the survival of animals and plants.

CITES 1. Lists the endangered species 2. List the extinction of different species 3. Lists the sites that animals are protected and asks cites to watch over trades.

CITES is related to this article because baby gorillas and even older gorillas are being hunted and kill for trade. Now, gorillas are faced with extinction. CITES goals is to end this suffering of animals being poached and traded.

CITES is an agreement between governments of different countries that regulates the international trade of endangered plants and animals. The three appendix's of CITES are these 1) a list of species that are endangered throughout the world 2) list of species that are close to or threatened by extinction 3)a list of species that is included by request of a party that regulates trade of species that is looking for followers or help. CITES relates to this baby gorilla by showing us that unless illegal poaching and trading is controlled the endangered list could grow. I believe we should make an attempt to lessen or stop poaching to keep the beauty of our world’s animals.

CITES is an agreement between different governments that concern the survival of animals and plants.

    Three:
    1) lists the endangered species
2)list of the extinction of different species
3)a list of the sites that are animal protected and asks people to watch over trade of the species
CITES is related to this article because baby gorillas are close to extinction, and that is the main point of CITES. It should be the goal of every person everywhere to stop illegal poaching and trading and protect animals that are close to extinction.

CITES is an international agreement between governments to ensure that international trade of plants and animals does not threaten their survival.
3 appendices- appendix 1 lists the most endangered species, appendix 2 lists the species that may be threatened if trade is unregulated, and appendix 3 is a list of species that are already regulated, and need the help of other countries to continue to protect the species.
This article is related to CITES because the goal of CITES is to prevent ignorant people from threatening the livelihood of entire species, which is what could happen to the mountain gorilla if trade is unregulated.

CITES is an international agreement between governments. The first appendices is a list of endangered species. The second is a list of endangered species going extinct. The third is a list of plants and animals that are protected and also asks people to avoid trade. CITES relates to the article because in other countries besides the US, gorillas are endangered and are being poached. CITES is an organization that try to make sure that the trading of animals won't lead to extinction.

CITES is an international agreement between governments. Its goal is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. Three appendices of CITES are 1: species that are endangered in the world 2: species that are close to or threatened by extinction 3: species that is included by request of a party that regulates trade of species that is looking for help. CITES relates to the article of the baby gorilla because even though the gorilla is not endangered yet it is still on the list of species that are threatened. If the illegal trade is not regulated there is a possibility of the species becoming endangered. This issue relates directly with the problems that CITES is dealing with.

  17. CITES stands for the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. the aim is to make sure that international trade of animal and plant species doesn't harm their chances to survive.

The three appendices of CITES are:
-Listed endangered species of the world
-Species not quite endangered but are threatened
-Species requested by a party that already regulates trade of this species

If trade in that country was more tightly regulated poaching may never had occured in the first place.

  20. CITES is an international agreement designed to protect endangered species from becoming extinct by other animals taking over.
    Three appendices of CITES are:
    - A list of endangered species in the world
    - Threatened species are not quite endangered species
    - A party can request the regulation of the trade of any species

CITEs and the baby gorilla are realted because CITEs was established to ensure the survival of every species on the planet right now and if they had been established sooner than the gorillas may not be an endangered species at their critical number at this point in time.

  21. CITES is an international agreement between governments. Its goal is to prevent the endangerment of animal and plant species due to international trade for goods or as pets. Cites is comprised of three appendices. These are: 1) Species that are threatened with extinction, and are only allowed to be traded in special circumstances; 2) Species that are not quite endangered, but must be monitered to ensure that they do not become so; and 3) Species that are protected in at least one country, and whose trade is being controlled by other parties, by request of the country in which the species resides.
The article about the baby mountain gorilla is a perfect example of a species that must be monitered by CITES, as it is critically endangered and yet is still being illegally poached.

  22. Cites is an international agreement between governments.

1)Contains the list of endangered species.
    2) This one includes a list of endangered species going extinct.
3)Details the list of animals and plants that are illegla to use for trade etc.

In the articles CITES relates so well with it because Gorillars are one animal that is endangered of going extinct very soon without protection such as CITES.

  23. CITES is an international agreement to stop the threatening of species through trade. The first appendix I are the species that are the most endangered according to CITES. Appendix II is the list of species that are not threatened, but could potentially become threatened if trade is not controlled. The last appendix is the list of species that are being protected by one party of the convention and are asking other parties to protect them as well. The article regarding the gorillas relates to CITES because they are potentially becoming extinct due to illegal trade, which is what CITES controls. These species need to become better protected if they are to survive.

Cites is an international agreement between governments. Itsaim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals andplants does not threaten their survival. Appendix I lists species that are themost endangered among CITES-listed animals and. They are threatened withextinction and CITES prohibits international trade in specimens of thesespecies except when the purpose of the import is not commercial. Appendix IIlists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but thatmay become so unless trade is closely controlled. Appendix III is a list ofspecies included at the request of a Party that already regulates trade in thespecies and that needs the cooperation of other countries to prevent unsustainableor illegal exploitation. Cites relates to this article because this is a primeexample of exploitation among an endangered species, but there are those whowant to change this awful trend by helping those species.
